Lightning Autofill v12.12.0 released

Here’s a summary of the changes in this update:

  • Added “Profile expiration” option (experimental) - This was a special request by at least two users. Similar to cookies, you can now set your profiles to expire and auto-delete (along with their rules) by specifying Expires: YYYY-MM-DD anywhere in the profile name. For example, if you have a profile named “My Profile (Expires: 2024-08-01)”, then it will be deleted at midnight on August 1st, 2024. This option is under the Settings / Experimental section.
  • Added “Turbo mode” option - Starting with version 12.7.0, a mock wait time of 0-10 ms was introduced between each keyboard event that is emitted to better simulate a human filling out the fields to improve reliability for some forms. If you want to return to the previous behavior without this artificial lag, then you can enable turbo mode.
  • Improved “Execute profile” context menu - A separator was added below the default “All” and “Unfiled” profiles to better separate them from custom profiles. Note that this change only applies when you use one of the context menu grouping options.
  • Improved News tab formatting - Some spacing inconsistencies have been smoothed over.
  • Fixed page jumps when autofilling regression - There was an issue where the human typing simulation was too realistic, causing the page to jump around as different fields were being focused. This is the same behavior as if you were tabbing into the fields yourself using the keyboard, but when sped up by Lightning Autofill it could be distracting, especially if the form has multiple steps that are represented by tabs in the UI. We’re glad this was reported early and squashed.
